Hey, all!
We’re posting today about our previous Subjective Immersion exhibit held April 7th at the Ferst Center! We’re thrilled with the opportunity that was presented to us by the Catalyst grant and exceptionally proud of the prestigious lab work carried out by our team member, Joshua Jackson!
With advisement from Dr. Woon Ju Park, Joshua really built the foundation of this project. He came up with the question and desire to analyze subjectivity in human perception as a result of our wider lab pursuits. To best incite such thoughts in viewers, he created music based on art viewer’s eye movements. See pictures for reference below.

His work serves as a reminder that our shared experiences may differ by the lens of the viewer. This innate subjectivity gave breath to this immersive and mind-opening experience. He has also further demonstrated remarkable initiative incorporating local Atlanta artists into this project, giving unique character and heritage to his work.
We hope to continue giving to the community through our research piece by piece! We’ll try to keep you best informed of our future endeavors. Stay tuned friends, family, and beloved people of Atlanta!
